Randy Baumgardner was born in Bedford, Indiana in 1956. He has one older son, Richard Baumgardner, and one son, Charlie Baumgardner, deceased. Richard has two children. Randy moved to Grand County in 1994. Not only has he been worked for the Colorado State Department of Transportation for over a decade, he also successfully operates a ranch between Hot Sulphur Springs, and Granby. Randy and Lori, his wife, have a young son Matthew.
Lori, helps run Baumgardner Cattle Company, but also plays a vital role in Randy's campaign. She has two older children, Elizabeth and Michael Gramm, both of whom attended Grand County Schools. Randy has a passion for land and water rights, education reforms, and healthcare solutions. He is involved with Water Resources Review Committee and works with the county commissioners on water issues facing the county and the Western Slope. It is his vision to solve some of these problems, get fellow Senate District 8 citizens to participate in becoming aware of these issues, and coordinate in finding solutions. Randy served four years as district 57 State House Representative, and is looking forward to continuing to serve his constituents as their state senator. |
